I recently stayed at Bochibochi in Kyoto for a few days. The location was perfect, with the train station, temples, and Gion all within walking distance. The room was small but had everything I needed, including a well-equipped kitchenette and a washing machine. The staff spoke excellent English and were very helpful. The amenities provided in the room were clean and modern, and I especially appreciated the desktop PC and the washing machine. I couldn't recommend this hotel more.

The apartment was new and fairly clean, with a microwave, an electric kettle and a refrigerator etc for me to make a meal. Rooms here were equipped with a beautiful historic garden and in-built dryer, for instance.

Had a problem with its aircon, it did not work.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel! The location was perfect, just a short walk from the train station and close to several bus stops. The staff was friendly and gave great recommendations for local places to eat. The rooms were spotlessly clean and had everything I needed, including a washing machine and a drying function in the shower. The hotel also provided free luggage storage, which was convenient. the hotel's cleanliness, facilities, transportation access, and helpful staff made my stay enjoyable.

The area around the hotel is not the best for restaurants and nightlife. It can be a bit quiet in the evenings and you may have to walk a good 10-15 minutes to find something to do or eat.

loved our stay at bochibochi karasuma! spacious room, clean bath, and extra sheets made it very comfortable. staff went above and beyond, offering us an umbrella even though we couldn't return it. the location was convenient and peaceful, and the private kitchen was a nice touch.

Patio area was empty, could use a small table or lounge chair.

I loved having the entire apartment to myself, but hey, who needs an elevator when you can get a free workout climbing the stairs? And who needs a convenient bus stop when you can enjoy a nice long walk to the station every day? So much fun!

During my recent visit to Kyoto, I had the pleasure of staying at Bochibochi Karasuma. As a frequent traveler, I found two distinct advantages of this guesthouse that made my stay enjoyable. the location of the guesthouse near a metro station was incredibly convenient. Being able to easily access transportation made navigating the city a breeze and allowed me to explore all that Kyoto has to offer. the proximity of Bochibochi Karasuma to Osaka Itami Airport was a significant advantage. As I was only staying for transit purposes, having the airport just 37 km away made my journey seamless and stress-free.

While my overall experience at Bochibochi Karasuma was excellent, if I had to mention a minor drawback, it would be the absence of a lift to get upstairs with luggage. After a long day of exploring, arriving at the guesthouse exhausted and having to climb stairs with my bags was a bit tiring.
